How to install for the first time
- Tap Download APK.
- If your browser shows a security warning, tap Download anyway.
- Open the downloaded file (from notifications or your Downloads folder).
- Tap Install. If Play Protect asks, tap Scan. If you see Install unknown apps, allow it for your browser and try again.
- Done! Open Jane Player and allow access to your music and videos.

Yes. Jane Player is completely free, with no ads and no subscription. The project is supported by voluntary donations.
Why isn’t it on Google Play?
The app hasn’t been published in app stores yet. For now, the official download is available only on this website. During installation you can let Google Play Protect scan the app.
Do I need internet to use it?
No. Music and videos play straight from your phone, offline. Only the lyrics search uses the connection — and each lyric is saved after the first time.
Which formats does it play?
Music in MP3, M4A/AAC, FLAC, OGG and WAV, and videos in MP4, MKV, WebM, 3GP and other formats supported by your Android.
Does the music stop when I open another app?
No. Jane Player is built to keep playing with the screen locked, when notifications arrive or while you use other apps. If your phone is very aggressive with battery saving, use Menu → Background music in the app to allow it.
How do I update the app?
Since version 1.2, Jane Player tells you when a new version is out: tap Update now and the update is downloaded and installed right from the app, without opening the browser. Your playlists, favorites and settings are kept.
